Shamballa School was founded by Bruce Lyon in 2000 as a residential esoteric school at Highden Manor in New Zealand. That phase of the work ran until 2004, after which Shamballa School transitioned to become an international spiritual school that is run online and has a regular cycle of retreats and events.
Shamballa School is dedicated to the fire of spirit and its transmission of the cosmic purpose, will and power at the heart of the whole evolutionary process on earth.
We recognise there is a major crisis happening on the planet today that is illuminating the necessity to transition from a culture based on separation and materialism to one based on soul, the unity of humanity, the rediscovered sacredness of our embodiment, and our ability to live in harmony with the earth and each other.
The work of Shamballa School in this process is to draw on the fire of spirit and its transmission of divine will, power and purpose to catalyse this transition within ourselves, and on the planet as a whole.
Shamballa School operates internationally via our online Facebook community, offers events around the world, and gathers rhythmically at its base in Berlin, Germany, for community retreats.
Our work is focussed on:
Transmission: Activating the dark light of our monadic core, opening to the monadic energy of the earth from Shamballa, individually and in group, and transmitting that energy into humanity and the natural kingdoms.
Group initiation: Group exploration of the mysteries, teachings and initiations of the dawning Aquarian Age in human culture. This includes topics such as the return of the mystery schools, the establishment of a global culture based on soul, the unity of humanity and the sharing of our resources, awakening to the fire of spirit and planetary purpose, group initiation, our return to the sacred nature of matter, the earth and our bodies as sacred, and humanity’s awakening to its role in the cosmos.
Manifestation: The manifestation of mystery schools and temples around the world that bridge the dark light of pure spirit with the matter of earth.
On the global scene, Shamballa School holds a dual citizenship.
One side of this citizenship is found in it being a third phase expression of the Trans-Himalayan teachings (for an introduction to these teachings, click here), tracing it’s lineage back through the pioneering work of such individuals as Bruce Lyon, Alice A. Bailey, Helena Roerich, Lucille Cedercrans, Rudolf Steiner, Francia Le Due, and Helena Blavatsky. In this aspect, it is part of a continually unfolding transmission of planetary Purpose from Shamballa through Hierarchy, the community of liberated bodhisattvas and masters on the inner planes who collectively embody the planetary heart chakra, to Humanity.
The second side is anchored in the emerging universal spirituality, and in recognition that there is really only one tradition that is our cosmic awakening, one tribe of all humanity, and one eternal fire that is Life.
